For homework, we ask that children regularly practise their basic skills, as this will support their learning in class. We don't want children doing maths homework for hours on end; 10-15 minute sessions, 4 or 5 days a week, are best for practising skills such as number bonds and times tables.

To enable children to access the curriculum confidently, they should be fluent in number bonds by the end of Year 2 and fluent in times tables by the end of Year 4.
